Wagner Events

Wagner Events is your party place,

To any party we’ll bring lots of grace.

Whether your event is small or big,

We’ll make it a memorable shin-dig.

Painting faces or twisting balloons,

We also do body painting for saloons,

Airbrush tattoos are waterproof,

Teens even like them so raise the roof.

Face paint is fine art on your face,

Kids are happy when at your place.

Call Wagner Events for a quick rhyme,

Making memories one face at a time.

Hot Air Balloon Step-by-Step

Step 1: Sponge light blue mixed with white along tops and bottoms for clouds, do white on top portions more. Try to use a dry sponge to have the best effect.

Step 1: Sponge light blue mixed with white along tops and bottoms for clouds, do white on top portions more.

Step 2: Using a round sponge (teardrop shape works too), load a split cake or multiple colors onto flat portion of sponge, squeeze bottom of sponge to create pear shape, press onto face evenly pressing all over sponge, try not to drag or move around too much as the shape is lost. Do the same thing with several sizes of sponges and different colors.

Step 4: Using the same brown and a #3 round brush, make balloon lines on the balloons, make them touch in top center and come down to bottom. Add small areas of brown to clouds and blend using scruffy brush for rough edges.

Step 5: Using the same #3 brush, load black and go over the brown lines with black, leave the brown exposed to the same side as the shadow.

Step 5: Using the same #3 brush, load black and go over the brown lines with black, leave the brown exposed to the same side as the shadow.

Step 6: Using #3 round, load white paint, outline next to the black lines on the side opposite of the shadow brown. Load a small flat brush with brown, white and a slight amount of black. Make squares under each balloon for the basket; try to create a small angle to show depth, like an angled letter V. Add extra highlights to bottom of balloons to show fire area, you could also add orange or red at this point, I only did white. Add lipstick and extra highlights of white to clouds. Add small little black birds in empty areas; add small details of white to the birds. Finish!

Other side.

This is similar to the design I did for the FABAIC (Face and Body Art International Convention) face paint competition but so much better. I sometimes go a bit overboard and I am constantly working on stopping myself from going crazy. I think this one worked out well and is a very practical working design, you could choose to do as many balloons as you feel looks best. I would estimate this to be about a 4 minute face once you get it down and with a few less balloons, I also think the BAM stencils have some birds that would make this design really pop with detail!
